WANGANUI GUN CLUB CLAY-BIRD CHRISTMAS BOXES The Christmas shoot of the Wanganui Gun Club was held on the club’s grounds last Saturday and was a huge success. The Waveney Gun Club was well represented, and the numerous competitions for Christmas fare were well contested. To save delay only competitors with tho possible in the first round were allowed to shoot in Lhe second round. The conditions were very tricky, due to the strong westerly wind. During the afternoon the final for Mr. T. Hurley’s trophy was shot for, Mr. C. Kempton being the winner. Afternoon tea was kindly dispensed by Mrs. Kempton.
