SHIPMENT TO ENGLAND JLXTENSIVE TRADE HOPED EOR I Per PrctT A e “nciHiion. ] INVERCARGILL, Dec. 5. A shipment of 50,000 feet of Southland silver beech timber, cut in the western district and at Catlins, will be shipped from the Bluff to-morrow by the I’akcha for London. The timber is in sizes suitable for the motor-body building industry. This is the first of a series of orders obtained as a result of the visit of Alessrs. R. Bauchop and A. R. Entncan, of England, a year ago. Before the end of the year two or three further shipments will bo made, bringing the total, with the present shipment, up to about 200,000 feet. The trade is so far in the experimental stage, but its expansion in tho near futuie to a business of large proportions is hoped
