JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS. A meeting of the executive committee was held on Monday evening. Mr E. J. Bowater presided. The secretary (Mr. J. M. Croucher') stated that the accounts had not been finalised, but a rough balance-sheet submitted showed a credit balance of about 12. It was resolved that a donation of 10s fid ho made to the Palmerston North Garrison Band and a donation of one and a-half guineas to the Feilding Salvation Army Band towards cost of transport. Reference was made to the efforts of Mr. Donald Murray during the carnival and it was resolved to give him £1 ns a token of appreciation. A short discussion took place regarding the balance in hand and it was resolved that the matter be loft over unt’l a meeting of the public is held. Tt was resolved that all correspondence in connection with the jubilee and list of signatures collected at the old settlors 1 dinner be handed to the OM Bovs’ Association. The ladies’ executive suggested that - Wtor of thanks be sent to Dustins’ Ltd. for the excellent simply of cutlorv ■'•nd erock hired for the old settlers’ dinner. This was agreed to.
