BRITAIN’S GENEROSITY. APPRECIATION EXPRESSED. [ British Official Wirelaas.] RUGBY, Dee. 2. The Newfoundland Legslature adjourns to-day, and yesterday both Houses passed a resolution expressing appreciation of the generosity of the United Kingdom Government’s financial provisions, and declaring that measures calculated to help the restoration of prosperity would receive the grate ful and hearty co-operation of all Newfoundlanders.

Mr. AJderdice (Prime Minister) explained that the length of the period during which the Constitution was suspended must depend on the thrift and enterprise shown by the community in regaining its former place. Speaking for the Opposition, Mr. Bradley declared that in such circumstances the Government and Opposition must close their ranks.
