GLOBE THEATRE

"THE KISS BEFORE THE MIRROR." The plot of "The Kiss Before the Mirror," the dramatic film which is screening at th e Globe Theatre to-night, was taken from th 0 well-known Continental stage play by Lodislaus Fedor. It is a most novel and interesting picture about a man who is on trial for the murder of his wife. He is ably defended by a lawyer (Frank Morgan), who builds up a most convincing case. So clearly does he perceive the accused man’s state of mind, indeed, that he makes a startling discovery about his own life. Frank Morgan’s acting as the lawyer is especially brilliant. Nancy Carroll, once known only in lighter roles is convincing as the lawyer’s wife. Paul Lukas, who is cast as the accused man. gives a most sincere performance. Gloria Stuart is splendid as the wife who is killed because of what she reveals when her husband kisses her in front of her mirror.
