PROBLEM TO BE DISCUSSED. VISITOR FROM AUSTRALIA. [ Per Press Association. 1 A UCKLAND, July 30. Dr. George Fitzpatrick, superintendent of the New South Wales Community Hospital, arrived from Sydney on a confidential mission involving a discussion with the Government of a joint plan for raising hospital revenue. He will submit his proposal to the Acating-Primc Alinister next week. Ho said that the scheme had a co operative basis “apart altogether from gambling elements” in his State, which were depending almost entirely on lottery profit to finance the hospitals. The position was becoming increasingly difficult, and there was a. prospective shortage thus year of £400,000. The State Government was now persuaded that a community system was the, one real method of financing hospitals.
