THE CIVIC THEATRE. “WEDDING REHEARSAL.” There are some exquisite sets in “Wedding Rehearsal.” a new Ideal picture. directed by Alexander Korda, which will be showing at the Civic Theatre this evening, Wednesday and Thursday. Of special note are the scenfes depicting the dress rehearsal of a smart society wedding. The wedding is between the beautiful and famous “Roxbury Twins,” played by Joan Gardner and Wendy Barrie, and their two fiances, played by John Loder and Maurice Evans. The wedding has been skilfully engineered by The Marquis of Buckminster (delightfully portrayed by Roland Young), in order to frustrate the plans of his grandmother, acted by I Kato Cutler, who has handed him a list of girls’ names, which includes the ‘‘Roxbury Twins,” one of who he must marry before the year is out. So strikingly realistic arc these scenes that they will be long remembered by those who see them. “Wedding R'ehearsal” is one of the most sparkling, witty and beautiful productions yet made in an English film studio.
