Harbour Board Contract.
Progress reports from the honorary consulting-engineer (Mr J. S. L. Deem) were before the Harbour Board yesterday with reference to the contract of Messrs W. R. Rope, Ltd., to raise the entrance moles. It is expected that delivery of stone will he commenced next month, and the contractors have been directed to start on the north mole. A resolution was carried 'confirming Mr Deem’s appointment as honorary engineer to the board for the purpose of seeing the contract carried through.
