OHINGAITI
RUGBY FOOTBALL The defeat of the local juniors by Athletic on Wednesday and the defeat of Old Boys by Toko-Stanway gives the last-named team a very good chance of winning the competition. Had Ohingaiti been able to gain a victory, the result would have been still in doubt, but nothing but the "glorious uncertainty of Rugby" will put the local team within striking distance of the championship. ANNUAL BALL Arrangements arc well in hand for the Football Club’s annual ball, to be held on Friday, July 28, aud something out of the ordinary is promised all who attend. An orchestra from Wanganui is being engaged, and the local ladies have, as usual, made ade quatc arrangements for the supper. PERSONAL Aliss Hook, who has been spending a holiday with Mrs. Parkes, Sandon Block, returned to her home in Shannon on Wednesday.
