At the monthly meeting of the Waimarino branch of the Plunket Society Mrs. Hanger presided. It was announced that the card evenings arranged by Mesdames Devlin, Shields and Deadman had resulted in a return of £lO. A hearty voto of thanks was accorded these ladies. It was agreed to hold a bridge party every Friday at the Plunket rooms, to be in aid of the Croquet Club and the Plunket Society, the afternoon tea to be provided by four members in their turn of each committee. It was decided to hold tho Plunket ball on June 20, Mrs. Lcvock (o arrange for the orchestra. DENTAL CLINIC. According to the annual report there wer.e 2504 operations at the Ohakuno Dental Clinic. The year was considered to have been very satisfactory. The clinic was open for 7 months one week and’during that time 568 patients were examined and 111 new patients were treated by the nurse. Ten schools are taking advantage of the institution but an endeavour should be made to get a sub-clinic at Raetihi, This would make a full time clinic. In April Nurse Caldwell was transferred to Levin and Nurse Cooper appointed to Ohakuno. Tho committee started tho year with a debit balance of £52 10s 4d. The cost of running the clinic is about £6O a year. Tho total amount collected during the year was £9O 14s 2d. The outstanding accounts at tho end of the year amount to £l5 10s and the cash on hand was £3 10s Id. The committee met on 11 occasions with an average attendance of 8.
