MOTOR BODY BUILDERS INDUSTRY AFFECTED [ Per Press Association. J WELLINGTON, May 18. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Coach and Motor Body Build ers’ Association resolved that it is of the opinion that the action of the Government in raising and maintain ing the present high rate of exchange is definitely accentuating the depressed condition of the coach and motor body industry in New Zealand and retard ing the return of normal business conditions; further, that, ns manufacturers of motor bodies, they are con vinced that the increased cost of completed cars carries with it no advantage in the way of protection to the. industry that would offset tho existing deplorable stagnation of business throughout Now Zealand.
