BULLS
I MINIATURE RIFLE CLUBS I The first round of the Manawatu I Miniature Rifle Association’s coiupcti- I tions will be fired on Friday night, I when Bulls and Ohakca Clubs will meet ! at Ohakca. Interest, therefore, centred on the scores registered at Bulls and at Ohakca on Monday evening, and it appears that the Ohakca Club is as strong as ever, while Bulls riflemen arc not yet shooting up to form. However, the contests between these old rivals are always full of interest, and it is never safe to forecast results when serious match shooting is concerned. Simpson, W. Klatt, and G. Gray. J. Simpson has struck form, and H. Ellery is improving with every shot. W. Klatt and E. Simpson are shooting very well this season, and G. Wiggins and G. Gray are both on the up-grade. 11. Hill has not done much shooting, but can be relied upon to come to light when required. Several young members are showing promise, and the Ohakca Club will be hard to beat this year. Monday night’s Pcores are as follows: —J. Simpson, 69, 70 —139; H. Ellery, 69. 69—138; W.
