OWNER-TRAINER OF PONY SUSPECTED DOPING CASE Received May 7, 7.5 p.m. MELBOURNE, May 7. The suspected doping of the pony Michael Feeney at Ascot a week ago came to a head yesterday when the owner-trainer, Percy Martell, was disqualified for life for improper conduct. His brother Loo, who allegedly gave the pony a drink from a bottle prior to running in the River Handicap, was also found guilty of improper conduct and the stewards will recommend that he be warned off the Ascot course for life. The pony was suspended for twelve months. Martell has given notice of appeal.
