ART OF THE SANDWICH
HUNGARIAN EXHIBITION CHEF'S FINE SAMPLES Tho association of Hungarian chefs has tickled tho palates of tho gourmets by an exhibition of sandwiches, which has proved such a success that a “consolation” exhibition will be given for tho benefit of those who were unable to gain entrance. The chefs of the leading hotels, sanatoria, restaurants and aristocratic houses sent the finest samples of their art, which included portraits of the members of the Government, imitations of all tho playing cards in tho pack, crests of the various Hungarian countries, and other fantastic designs. At a charge of sixpence a head tho public wore allowed to view tho sandwiches, each of which cost an extra sixpence. An expert described the recipes used while tho consumers moved from tabic to table.
