APPLES IN LONDON
FAIR RETURNS REALISED Received May 7, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, May 5. New Zealand apples are selling at about Welnesday’s prices. The Coptic’s, New Zealand apples sold as under:-—* Cox’s, 9s to 12s 6d per case; Jonathan’s 10s to 11s 3d; Delicious, 10s to 10s 6d; Dunns. 10s to Ils 3d. The Port Pirie’s Otago’s Jonathan’s and Delicious realised Ils to 12s 6d; and Cox’s, 13s to 17s. The bulk of the prices looming through should give a fair return to the growers. Providing there is no drop in prices the current season, in the opinion of authorities in the trade, should be profitable to producers.
