PRINCE OF WALES

SETS A NEW FASHION HOW TO TIE SCARF. A writer in a London paper says:— How do you tie your scarf? This is man’s latest fashion problem. To-day you don’t simply wear a scarf round your neck, tied any way to keep out the cold. The knotting is a matter of importance. The Prince of Wales, who brought in the fashion for polka-dot silk scarves last year, has now set a new fashion in how to tie them. During the recent cold spell he was seen several times wearing his blue and white nevk wrap in- a novel manner. He had folded it in half lengthwise, passed the two loose ends through the loop, so formed, and pulled it tightly round the throat. Young men are now wearing their spotted scarves this way—and trying to look as though there were no other possible way to wear them. “The Prince is by far the most interesting of the few remaining fashion leaders,” a fashion expert told a Sunday Chronicle representative. “His little eccentricities, like the famous scarlet shirt, excite interest, and when, quite casually, he docs something that is practical for ordinary men, the rush to follow him is amazing.”
