RACING AT WOODVILLE
JUBILEE PROGRAMME. ENTRIES DUE NEXT WEEK. The programme for the jubilee meeting of the Woodville District Jockey Club is engaging the attention of owners and trainers. This fixture is to be held on Saturday, May 27, and the stakes are framed on what must be termed generous lines these days. There is a silver cup to the value of £l5 attached to the Woodville Jubilee Cup, the added stake-money being £l3O. The Goldfinch Memorial Handicap, run over seven furlongs for a stake of £lOO, will cater for the sprinters. The rest of the programme caters well for various classes.
Nominations for all events close with the secretary, Mr. W. A. Lyon, Woodville, on Friday, May 12, at 9 p.m.
