A TEACHER’S FAREWELL Miss Bruce, assistant teacher at the secondary department of tho Marton District High School, who is to be married shortly, was on Thursday evening tendered a farewell function in the school on the eve of her retirement from the staff, by senior pupils and cx-pupils. Valedictory speeches by the headmaster, Air. H. L. Wilson, and the school committee chairman, Air. H. J. Fowler, indicated in no uncertain manner the respect and esteem in which Miss Bruce is held, and the general regret felt at her pending departure. On behalf of the pupils, Afiss Bruce was presented with a beautiful crystal set.
