There was a record yarding of fat sheep to-day and prices firm with a slight advance for fat ewes. Primest lambs made 15s; prime, to 14s 7d; good, 12s to 13s; backward, from 7s; primest ewes, 10s 9d; maidens Ils; prime, to 8s 8d; good to 8s; prime wethers, 13s 3d; good, to 12s; light, 9s. Store Sheep.—Two-tooth ewes and S.D. rams. 6s lid to 12s 4d; four-tooth to five-year ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 11s; five-year, 8s lOd to 10s 6d; ewe lambs, 8s to 9s lOd; wether lambs, to 8s 4d; b.f. lambs, 6s 7d to 9s 4d; m.s. lambs, 7s 4d to 8s 6d; empty ewes, 2s 9d to ss; store wethers, Ils lOd. There was a small yarding of dairy cattle. Springing heifers made £3 15s; heifers, r.w.b., £2 5s to £4; springing cows, £3 10s to £6; fat cows, light, 25s to 31s; heavy, £2 7s to £3 3s; bullocks, £5 14s; steers, £3 16s; heifers. 34s to £2 7s; potter bulls, £2. Store Cattle.— Weaner heifers, to 31s; weaner steers, 19s; Hereford steers, £2 6s; Holstein steers, 22s 6d; store cows, 21s to 295; heifers, r.w.b., 32s to 40s.
