DRAUGHTS MATCH
RECORD TOR DOMINION [ Per Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, July 31. A record for New Zealand in the number of boards used, is claimed by those connected with a draughts match played yesterday between teams representing the eastern and western districts of Southland. Eighty-two boards were in use nnd 164 players took part. It is stated that the previous record was held by Otago, with between 50 and 60 boards.
