NEW ZEALAND’S CHANCELS
OLYMPIAD PARTICIPANTS OARSMEN HAVE ADVANTAGE Received July 29, 11.45 p.m. LOS ANGELES, July 28. A virtual conclusion is hard to determine for the practice period before the Olympic Games. The Australian and New Zealand Press representative survey finds the Australian and New Zealand Olympiad participants generally in good condition with reasonably fair prospects ol winning their share of honours. The New Zealander Elliot has been recording good trials. The chances of Golding and Black have been retarded owing to injuries. They are also fac ing the strongest opposition, but Love Jock has an excellent chance in the 1500 metres. Savidan is regarded as a remarkable distance man and is con ceded a good chance in the 10,000 metres. The New Zealand rowers have the material advantage of long training on a course which is a most unusual one.
