Inter-School Rugby. Playing at Stratford yesterday the Wanganui Technical College second fifteen drew with the Stratford High School, eight points all. Old Dances Popular. Several of the so-called old-time dances are gradually becoming more and more popular among the dancing public these days, and many of them are usually included among the programmes. The Military Two step and the Gay Gordons were both popular at the charity ball held by the Wanganui Rotary Club on Thursday evening. When the Gay Gordons was struck up on one occasion few people took the floor for several minutes, and when they did it was to use the jazz steps. During the first encore, however, one or two couples started the Gordons, and soon the whole floor was swinging to the music. Once started the dancers were not keen to stop, and several encores were demanded of a willing I orchestra. Several encores wore also required for the Military Twtffcf.
