Detectives have already questioned about 30 men in connection with the death of Miss White, cabled yesterday. The affair is a complete mySery. Iho police have not overlooked the theory of robbery, as the victim’■ handbag was discovered 200 yards from the body. Yesterday’s cable news stated that tho body of Hilda White, aged 33, of Darliughurst, was found in Centennial Park close to the city (Sydney), oi Wednesday, with many marks of violence on the head and neck. A subsequent examiuaton by a Government medical officer disclosed that the victin had been subjected to brutal handling and had possibly been outraged and finally strangled with a portion of her own underclothing. Miss White is an Aucklander, who came to Australia years ago with her mother, sister and brother. She attended a picture show previously and was apparently forcibly carried off in a motor car to the park, where there were many evidences of her struggles before death.
