EDUCATION BOARD NOMINATION
THE movement initiated recently to persuade Mr. W. M. Fal
coner to accept nomination for the seat on the Wanganui Education Board has met with success, he having eceeptcd nomination yesterday. Mr. Falconer has a wide professional knowledge which will be an invaluable contribution to the Board’s deliberations. He has shown himself to be an enthusiast in the matter of primary education; indeed, his interest in the St. John’s Hill School amounts almost to a passion. He has, by his example, inspired the parents of the scholars with a lively interest in this new school, and he has a knowledge of the ways of the Education Department. The Wanganui Education Board will consider itself fortunate in this prospective valuable addition to its personnel.
