VIOLENT QUAKE

A message from an Salvador stuieg that a violent earthquake rocked th« west coast of Central America to-day’, killing an undetermined number o; persons and causing great loss of pro perty. Tho bodies of six persons have beta recovered from ruins at Zacateeoluea, 65 miles south-west of San Salvador. Others have been injured and crippled. The destruction of communication lines has prevented tho receipt of reports from other parts of the country 1 . Fear is felt for San Vincente, which is believed to have suffered the severest effects of tho earthquake, which shook throe republics. El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. The shock lasted fof three minutes.
