The market wxs not so good, but better quality improved on last week’? rule. The freezing companies are still buying practically tho whole yarding. Fat Lambs.—Primest 17s 7d, prime. Ils 4d to Jss 4d; good J3s to 14s, fair 12s to 12s 2d; lower grade from i)s lufl Fat Ewes.—Primest 10s 7d to 113 2d; prime 9s to 10s 7d; good to 7? 2d; backward, from 5s Id. Fat Withers.—Primest 13s 2d to 13s 7d; prime 12s 2d to 12s 6d; good Ils Id; fair from 9s. There was only a small yarding of store sheep and the market was dub. Fattening ewes made Is 7d to 5s 3d. Four and live-ycar ewes, r..v. Southdown rams ver> good good hue, made 10s sd; goad lid; fair, passed nt 83 9d; s.m. owes ditto 6s 3d; s.m. ewes ditto 6s 3.1. There (vas a small yarding of dairy stock with gnnd inquiry for good lines. Heifers r.w.b., £h 10s to £7 for quality lines; others £2 10s and £3; cows in milk 12s 6d to 30s; springing cows, guaranteed sound, £3 10s. Fat cattle showed no improvement. Heavy bullocks sold at £5; P.A. cows £2 7s to. £2; other heavy cows £2 7s and £2 9s; light cows 20s to 365; fat heifers £2 to £3 ss; vealers to 20s, THE WAVERLEY SADE There was a medium yarding of both sheep and cattle at tho fortnightly sale held by the Farmers * Co-op. Organisation Society of New Zealand, Ltd. There was a good attendance. One line of 6-tooth and 4-year ewes met with keen competition and sold, up to 12s 3d. Quotations: 5-year ewes in low condition, 6s; b.f. lambs, 10s; dairy cattle met with slow demand. A nice line of heifers on account of W. B. Watkins sold from £4 I.os to £6; springing cows, £7; store cattle at schedule prices.
