TO MEET CRISIS
CANADIAN LEGISLATION PREMIER’S STATEMENT OTTAWA, May 19. Parliament may be asked to pass a Bill authorising tho Government to take the necessary steps to meet the financial crisis should one develop on this continent. The Right Hon. R. B. Bennett indicated that the Government ' is ’ considering such a measure. It would be provided that any such. legislation should como into "effect * only upon proclamation.
