SMALL FARM SCHEME
GIFT OF LAND MADE. WANG AN I’l ORGA NIS ATI ON A gift of ten acres of land has been offered the Waitotara Committee to further the small farm scheme in the Wanganui district. This has been made by a well-known farmer and a further offer to lease an area of land has been made by another. Both offers created a note of enthusiasm at the combined meeting of the Waitotara and Waveriey committees yesterday. There were present, Akvssrs T. Alexander, F. Bosley, C. J. Dickie, W. Alatthews, G. F. Aloore, J. D. Newland, E. Parsons, A. E. Symes, G. P. Spratt and Claud Smith. Apologies were rec< ived from Alcssrs. T. Currie and W. Alorrison who were absent frt>m the district. Air. Bmith was voted to the chair. The organiser, Air. H. Cleland, made a detailed explanation of the tjchcme and answered several questions. A plan K of action w~s decided on to assist the r organiser and obtain as much land Us possible. Details may bo obtained from members of the committee in their respective districts.
