FRIGHTFUL INJURIES
FELL ON CIRCULAR SAW RAETIHI MAN’S MISFORTUNE (From Our Own correspondent) RAETIHI, Alay, 20. While cutting firewood with a circular saw in Ballance Btrect, Raetihi, yesterday afternoon, Air John A. Lynn fell forward*- and badly cut by the spinning blade. It is thought thut the cause of the occurrence was the cutting of Air Lynn’s left foot as ho cleared debris from under the bench, as the toes of that foot were lacerated. Air Lynn is a middle-aged man and has been in the district some years. He carried on the business of a carrier. He is popular throughout the district and is connected with lodge, matters. Dr. W. Feltham (Raetihi) aid Dr. L. E. Jordan (Ohakune) were soon un the scene, and did what they could for tho injured man. who had received frightful injuries. This afternoon he was removed to tho hospital, that measure not being entertained before on account of the extent of the injuries. To-night Drs. Feltham, Jordan and G. N. MacDiannid (Taihape) arc to operate. Mr Lynn’s condition is looked upon as being critical.
