A “WANTED GANGSTER.” ARRESTED IN MEXICO. (San Franciscco Press Broadcast). MONTEREY, Mexico, May 18. Harry Fleischer, a Detroit gangster, wanted in tho Lindbergh kidnapping case, was arrested by the authorities here last night and is being held pending word from the American authorities. El Sul, a local Spanish language newspaper, publishes a story quoting Fleischer as relating incidents of the kidnapping. The baby, according to the interview published by El Sol, was killed when it was dropped while being taken down the ladder. The gang, seeing the baby was dead, hid it in tho bushes about four miles from the Lindbergh homo, near Hopewell, whore it was found a few days ago.

WOULD “GO NUTS” UNLESS HE CONFESSED. NEW YORK, May 17. A man, who said ho was afraid he would “go nuts” unless he confessed, told the police to-day that Charles Augustus Lindbergh, junr., was killed when he fell from the arms of one of the kidnappers who was abducting him from the Lindbergh home on the night, of March 1. Tho man, Frank Parzych, who was arrested last night, said ho had a part in the kidnapping, but denied that he was involved in tho infant’s death.

NON-EXISTENT SHIP. PATROL DISCONTINUED WASHINGTON, May 17. Captain L. C. Covell, acting-Com-mandant of tho U.S. Coastguard, was ordered by the Treasury to-night to discontinue the special patrol in New Jersey waters for the mysterious ship reported to be harbouring the kidnappers of the Lindbergh baby. The order was issued after the New Jersey authorities had notified the Treasury that John Hughes Curtis, the Norfolk shipbuilder, who supplied a description of the strange craft, had confessed that his activities in the case had been largely a figment of his own imagination.
