Regret at the illness of Mr. D. Ross was expressed at a meeting of the Wanganui executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union -yesterday morning. A motion was passed expressing the sympathy of members and the wish . that Mr. Ross might recover speedily. ’ Mr. E. C. Haddock, president of the , Marton Athletic and Cycling Club, j broke his wrist when hurdling at Mar- . ton Park on Tuesday evening. Mr. Had- . dock was an interested spectator at . last night’s Wanganui Sub-centre eham- , pionships at Marton, and presented the trophies and ribbons at the conclusion of the meeting. ; Leave of absence to attend the medical conference at Auckland from March 7 to March 11 was granted Dr. E. J. E. Topham (Wanganui Hospital) and Dr. M. Kronfeld (Taihape Hospital), by yesterday’s meeting of the Wanganui Hospital Board. In the case of Dr. Kronfeld his annual holidays fall simultaneously.
