EVERGREEN SHRUB
Leonotis leonurus (lion’s tail), an evergreen shrub from the Cape of Good Hope, bearing whorls of scarlet flowers on long stems, is an attractive plant that is conspicuous at the present time, being in full flower and lasting for a considerable time. It is quite hardy and easily propagated from cuttings. It is a very desirable plant for the mixed shrubbery, and is sometimes grown as an ornamental hedge plant, being a pleasing change from the ordinary varieties of hedge plants.
