THE WANGANUI SALE DEMAND FOR STORE 3HEEP Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report as follows:—The entry as advertised came forward to a very good attendance of buyers, and over the store sheep section we report a very keen sale, prices advancing 2s to 3s on last week.

The fat section was a very good one comprising several pens of excellent ewes and wethers, which sold well from on recent sales. The cattle sale was better than usual, with more enquiries.

The dairy section, with the exception of an odd cow or two, was not very classy, and sold at recent rates. Pigs were in good supply and met a ready sale at late rates. Quotations:

Sheep.—Fat woolly wethers, 19s 3d to 20s; fat shorn wethers, 16s 6d; prime woolly ewes, 15s 9d, 16s 3d to 17s; fat woolly ewes, 12s Id to 13s 3d; fat shorn ewes, 13s 4d to J4s; fat woolly hoggets, 15s 9d ewe hoggets, 14s; maiden 4-tooth ewes, 14s 7d; 4tooth wethers, 13s.

Cattle.—Light fat cows, £6 10s, £6 Ils to £6 15s; fat cows ex dairy (light), £4 7s 6d, £4 12s 6d, £5; forward cows, £3 15s to £4 ss; store S.H. cows, £3 12s 6d; two-year steers, £3 10s; two-year Hereford heifers, £3; yearling ersey cross heifers, 30s, 31s, to 35s to £2 2s 6d; small yearling heifers, 18s, 20s to 255; good sound dairy cows, £6 10s, £6 15s to £8 10s; dairy cows, £3, £3 10s to £4; springing heifers (small), £3 2s 6d, £3 10s to £3 15s.

Pigs.—Heavy porkers, 365, 395, 40s to 41s; porkers, 325, 33s to 355; choppers, 30s to 40s; stores, 23s to 245; good weaners, 20s, 22s to 235; wcaners, 16s, 17s 6d, 18s to 19s; vealers, 32s to 355; small vealers, 9s, 14s to 225.
