RECENT EARTHQUAKE
REPORT FROM SOLOMONS. VERY SEVERE MOVEMENT. SYDNEY, Oct. 14. Confirmation of the calculation by Father O’Leary, of tho Riverview Observatory, that the earthquakes recorded on the seismograph on October 4 occurred in the Solomons is contained in a wireless message from the island of Malaita which reported that a very severe earthquake was experienced.
All of the European houses and most of the other buildings at Sulu were badly damaged. No lives were lost.
