CANTON AND NANKING
CHIANG’S CAPITULATION? Received October 14, V-o p.m. HONGKONG, Oet. 14. The Canton Government official news agency states that General Chiang Kai Shek has accepted all Canton’s demands, including his resignation, in consequence of which the Canton delegates are proceeding to Shanghai to meet Chaing personally and arrange details. Whilst reconciliation between Canton and Nanking is considered likely, foreign observers incline to discount the story of Chiang’s complete capsulation.
