GOLFER’S FATAL SWING
MAN KILLED BY BLOW ACCIDENT IN PARIS CLUB Air. Ronald Davis, a British resident in Paris, was killed on August 28 in tragic circumstances at the Cerclo Hoche, a Paris club of which he was a member. Air. Davis was walking through the rooms ol: the club which are devoted to sports practice when, passing close to a man who was swinging a golf club,
he received a severe blow on the temple and died almost immediately. A resident of Paris for more than 20 years. Air. Davis was the owner of a bookshop and publishing business in the
Faubourg St. llonorc. He possessed a fine collection of books and had a large number of literary acquaintances. He was 45 years of age, a keen boxer and fencer and was in the habit of going nightly to the dub for practice. During the war Air. Davis held the rank of captain in the Royal Air Force. His wife, who is French, was absent from Paris at the time of the accident.
