OBITUARY ME FREID ENNIS. The death occurred early on Saturday morning of Mr Frederick Thomas Ennis, who was well known throughout this district, he having lived in and around Hunterville practically all his life. He was a single man and died at the residence of his brother at Brae more. HUNTERVILLE SCHOOL COMMITTEE ORDINARY MEETING The ordinary monthly meeting of Hunterville School Committee was held on Friday night, Mr R. Al. S. Jones presiding. Also present: Dr. Pitcaithly, Messrs. W. O’Brien, G. Stratford, R. Dukeson and C. C. Southey (headmaster). Accounts amounting to £2 13s 2d were passed for payment. The headmaster reported attendance 154.8, roll 173. Rev. C. R. Kreeft was thanked for the donation for lour volumes of valuable books. Arrangements were made for the ani nual children ’s fancy dress ball to be held on October 9. Dr. Pitcaithly and Mr. W. O’Brien were appointed a visiting committee for the month. PRESBYTERIAN BULB SHOW The annual bulb show and bazaar in connection with the Presbyterian Church will be held on Thursday next in the Town Hall. There will be stalls of all kinds and a baby show in addition to the floral and other exhibits. In the evening competitions will bo held, dart throwing, nail driving, hat trimming and many other events.
