, WEDDING. RAMSAY—SHAW. A very pretty evening wedding was solemnized in the Presbyterian Church, Mangaweka, on August 26, when Elizabeth Florence, second daughter of Mr and Mrs W. P. Shaw, of “Mt. Huia,” Mangaweka, was married to Douglas, elder son of Mrs and the late Mr K. Ramsay, of Adelaide Road, Wellington. The ceremony was performed by Mr. Murray, and Mrs Murray presided at the organ. Tho bride, who entered the church with her father, was attired in an ankle length frock of embroidered silk net and the veil was held in place by clusters of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of Lentil roses and asparagus ferns. She was attended by Miss Mavis Cave, dressed in shot pink taffeta and silk net, with silver bandeaux of flowers round her hair. The second bridesmaid was Miss Ethel Shaw (sister of the bride), who wore a lemon satin frock with lace cape collar, a bandeaux of coloured flowers round her hair. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Stuart Ramsay as best man and Mr Jack Moran as groomsman. After the ceremony the guests motored to “Alt Huia,” the home of the bride’s parents, where the reception was held. The happy couple left later for the south, Air Ramsay, wearing a green silk morocain dress with hat to tone, and a tweed coat with cape collar PERSONAL. Airs Jordon ha been visiting hei daughter, Airs T. Kirkby. , Alaster Ray Elliott, returned home from tho Taihape Hospital on Friday. Air Witty Byrne is visiting his mother, Mrs Byrne. Air Bently, late of the local Bank of New Zealand, was a recent visitor to Alangawcka where he was the guest of Air and Airs Thane. Miss Aloira O’Dea has been visiting her mother, Airs O’Deu. Airs C. Clint, who was a recent visitor to Alangawcka, has returned to Ohingaiti.
