TOOLS FOR CLEANING
Modern housewives are finding that cleaning is greatly facilitated by the use of efficient tools. To mention a few which may be purchased in almost every well-stocked store, there is a three-cor-nered stiff-bristled brush which cleans the out-of-the-way place on upholstered furniture and is indispensable if no vacuum cleaner is availble. Stairs are easily cleaned with a short-handled stair brush of soft horsehair, and its fullness makes it a good tool also for the dusting of baseboards, window sills, shelves, screens, and wicker caning on chairs or radiator covers. The efficient housewife who delights in shining window’s finds it more satisfactory in the long run to purchase a combination window brush and squeegee for washing the outside panes of glass. To protect her furniture from scratches, she buys a new rubber jacket which is added to any size or type of broom and which acts as a guard.
