Croupier Has Class.
The three-year-old Croupier, who won f the Cashmcr.e Plate at Kiccarton on Tuesday, is a very smart sprinter. He j had previously had -four races, two at f the end of April at Nelson and two at Blenheim a week later. Ho w T as third j in his first start and won on the last of y the other occasions. The fields were of } moderate class but he created a favour- y able impression and he should make a ] good racehorse this season. He is by Surveyor from the Thurnham mare Pel- j let, and he may stay later on, but in / the meantime he has a fine turn of \ speed. ].
