ECHO OF WANGANUI BOUT KARA PASHA’S STATEMENT
•‘CROWD ENJOYED THE MATCH” [ Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 13. “I did fulfil my contract. 1 have never wrestled harder in my life, and 1. don ’t see why I should give up £.100,” declared Kara Pasha, replying to charges made by the Wanganui Wrestling Association in connection with the bout between Kara Pasha and Stanley Pinto last Saturday. The Association declared that the bout was not fair, and has decided to withold the prize-money. ‘ f l don’t see how they are going to keep back the money,” Kara said. ••We wrestled eight rounds and a decision was given. The crowd enjoyed the match all right, and it was only a few people round the ringside who made the trouble. They started throwing pennies in the ring before the bout started.' ’
