The new supper room was in use, and proved a great convenience, besides giving more room in the hall. The Dloiito Carlo was won by Dliss May Ellery and Dlr Percy Cole, and the stop waltz by Dliss Dlurray and Mr D. Capstick. Dlrs Sid Goebel (Bulls) won the lady’s prize at cards, after a tie with Mrs J. Ellery. The gent’s prize was won by Dlr Regan (Rongotea). Consolation prizes were awarded to Dlrs Henry Hill and Dlr Joo Ellery. These social gatherings are gaining in popularity, and a feature is the number of visitors who attend. SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS. The grounds of tne Bulls School continue to be improved, and the pipes are now on the ground to drain the horse paddock. This section of the grounds has always been boggy in wet weather, and under the unemployment scheme the cost of drainage is very small. FOOTBALL. Bulls and Athletic seniors are drawn to meet at Bulls on Saturday, but it is quite on the •cards that both clubs will have difficulty in raising fifteens anything like full strength. Fred Gallagher, who hurt his knee at practice last week, will be an absentee, and he was unable to take his place in the Rangitikei representative team at Taihape yesterday.
