VIOLENT EARTHQUAKE
RECORDS IN EUROPE CENTRAL ASIA THE LOCATION Received Aug. 12, 9.15 p.nu BERLIN, Aug. 12. European earthquake recorders indicate the greatest shock since the Japanese ’quake in September, 1923. Ihe disturbance caused a violent shaking of the seismograph needle right throughout. It is believed the centre of the trouble is the sparsely populated wastes of Central Asia.
