CANTERBURY UNIVERSITY | ANNUAL MEETING FARCE I Per Press Association. J CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 12. The annual meeting of students of the Canterbury University College held last evening was made farcical by the antics of some of those present. The meeting opened tumultuously with a storm of paper darts, peanuts arid bags of flour. The president was greeted with a volley of missiles and terrific cheering. The minutes were read amidst a babble of noise of whistling songs, and cheering. The balance sheet was read in intervals of songs about beer and other beverages. At one stage later the lights were put ■»ut. and the secretary mysteriously ab ducted.
