INTOXICATED DRIVER
SUBSTANTIAL FINE [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Aug. 19. Alfred Richard Amoy, motor foreman, aged 43, was fined £25 to-day for intoxication while in charge of a car and his license was endorsed. Counsel for Arney said that he had been sales manager for Dominion Motors for seven years. He was married, with five children, and counsel was authorised to say that if defendant, could keep his license he could keep his position. IMr Woodward, S.M.: I don’t want to deprive a man who has five children of his employment if I can do justice without it.
