WAITOTARA
EUCHRE AND DANCE. The third of a series of euchre parties and dances organised by the school committee for the purpose of augmenting the school funds was held in the Waitotara public hall on Thursday evening last. There were sixteen tables occupied by the players, which constituted a record attendance at the euchre tables. The play was brisk, and was keenly enjoyed by those present. Afr R. Lethbridge again carried off the first prize for men, while Air H. J. Wilson scored first prize for the ladies. The consolation prizes were awarded tc Afrs E. Leahy and Afr W. Rich. After an excellent supper, which was dispensed by the ladies, dancing was indulged in to music supplied by the White Star Orchestra, Afr F. Watson officiating as M.C.
