OVERTIME REFUSED

Ihe Lyttelton Watersiders’ Union surprised local shipping companies late yesterlny afternoon Ay refusing to work any overtime after 5 o’clock,'thus delaying a number of vessels in port overnight. Jt was the general opinion of persons connected with shipping that, the action o| the watersiders was a protest against the recent cut in wages.
