In eases of headache and neuralgia rub the affected part with a slice of lemon: this will often relieve the pain. Never give medicine just before a meal, or just after. Half an hour before or after is the correct time unless special directions are given. Cod liver oil. if ordered by the doctor, must b< given at least, an hour after a meal, A liberal consumption of fresh vegc* tables is highly beneficial in certain ailments. Celery is guod in cases of rheumatism and neuralgia, ami will tone up the nervous system. Tomatoes stimulate the liver, and spinach has a direct effect on the kidneys. Union*'' and garlic promote digestion. Raw onions are a remedy for sleeplessness. Watercress and beet root purify and enrich the blood. If the hair goes thin take three ounces of tincture of canthurides; six ounces of bay rum: one ounce of olive oil: one ounce of rosemary. Mix well and rub into the scalp until the skin glows. Never wash the face when hot Cleanse the skin with cold cream, and wash when cool again, using tnilk anf water.
