FUSION IDEA SUPPORTED. 1 Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, June 25. At the United Political Association conference to day, there were 150 delegates present, including the Right Hon. G. W. Forbes. The conference passed unanimously the following resolution:—“That this conference of delegates of the United Political Party endorses the action of our leader in placing country before party in his offer for tho establishment of a strong national Government; that we are determined to work for this object before and after the election, believing that it is only by the wholehearted co-operation of every New Zealander during tho present economic crisis that tho ’Dominion’s high reputation can be maintained.’’ Another resolution expressing the conference’s high appreciation of the, manner in which the Prime Minister represented the Dominion at the imperial conference, and of his efforts to balance tho Budget during the present national difficulties, was also passed.
