Hospitals’ Burden
MOTOR VEHICLE VICTIMS NOVEL TAXATION PROPOSAL By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.j Received June 24, 7.15 p.m. SYDNEY 7 , June 24. The chairman of the New South Wales Hospitals’ Commission, Air J. R, Love, suggests in the annual report to Parliament, a taxation on motor-cars and motor-cycles of 5s and 2s 6d respectively, thus raising a fund of £50,000 from which hospitals could be reimbursed for treatment; of car victims. Air Love declares that a large part of hospital work now consists of attending and caring for victims of motor-car accidents.
